Most people who pursue stand-up comedy are not introverts. They are loud jerks who want to be famous. Most people who perform on comedy shows are just on the show because they're good at socializing. Real comedians tend to be introverts who are afraid to ask for free stuff. So when you are a talented comic, and are also getting gigs, that is a rare and a beautiful thing.
