The Tim Weichselbaum Show
Tim Weichselbaum is a media mogul, comedian, podcaster and karaoke singer from Chicagoland. He is also his own agent, promotor, hype man, bodyguard, and driver (despite having epilepsy). Some day he will be a massive success. Or, he’ll stop doing it altogether suddenly, before becoming anything. That will be awfully embarrassing, considering some of the things he says about himself on this podcast. I don’t think there is a more self-confident person in the Austin comedy scene right now than Tim Weichselbaum. His whole act depends on it. He doesn’t do corny jokes about how he hates himself, and that is what makes him stick out compared to most comics. Very recently treated for crippling symptoms of ADHD, he is now in the process of becoming the super-comedian he always knew he had in him. All it took was doing this podcast about fifty times before he discovered that untreated ADHD was the only thing stopping him. This podcast is not just meant for entertainment or even necessarily to be consumed. It is a journey. A document of a short man’s long life. Should someone ever write a biography about Tim Weichselbaum, be rest assured that this podcast will be the most quoted source. Unless it’s a really sh*tty biography. Tim is an introvert. He rarely commits to friendships with anyone, and that is why he lives in a hobbit hole in near total isolation. Sure, he doesn’t scoff at the idea of interpersonal relationships, but it just isn’t a priority for him. He’s more invested in himself at the moment. When he finally reaches his full potential, then it will be time to start finding the real kind of friends and family he’s look for. Topics covered on the show primarily revolve around becoming a professional stand-up comedian, and the trials and tribulations that go along with that process. It took Tim ten years to decide if he was really good enough to be an entertainer. He isn’t just a stand-up comedian after all, he also can sing, dance, and act. But does Tim believe in himself? Let’s find out on this show. He also covers other interests such as mental health, self improvement, and finance/investing. He performs stand-up comedy in real life using the stage name Timmy Gusto, as an attempt to conceal the fact that he’s slightly Jewish. I wonder if it’s possible to get canceled from iTunes just for the description. Any who, you can follow @TimWeichselbaum on Instagram, his current social media platform of choice, to see reels and other enjoyable snippets of his creative output.

Ep. 63 | Getting Intense w/ Michael Malamud
Saturday Feb 11, 2023
Saturday Feb 11, 2023
My guest this week and I have a tense conversation about his opinions on my personality and behavior. Michael and I have a complicated relationship. I have empathy for him, and we get along at times. This was not one of those times.

Ep. 62 | Thanks for the Love
Monday Feb 06, 2023
Monday Feb 06, 2023
Michael Malamud and I work out the kinks in our podcasting relationship and discuss ADHD and medication, neurodivergence, and the pain of not getting things you think you deserve. It was a colorful episode where we look underneath the microscope at each other's psychology and way of thinking.

Ep. 61 | Michael Malamud Greases Us With His Presence
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
Saturday Jan 28, 2023
Michael Malamud joins me as my first guest in a long time to create synergistic podcasting magic. I met Michael in Chicago many years ago in the stand-up scene and we have a lot in common. We've recorded a lot of podcasts in the past years, but not all of them have been released. This is one of the rare episodes that shall be released to the masses. I was on his podcast as Timmy Gusto recently, which is called Unsettling in with Michael Malamud.

Ep. 60 | Taking off the Mask
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
Saturday Jan 14, 2023
I've decided to stop being a fake person on this episode and it was the hardest thing I've ever tried to do on this podcast. I'm more comfortable wearing a mask, both literally and figurately, even if it's the one Ye wears, because even that is better than being myself. I'm going through a very difficult period in my life mentally. I've stopped using some of my dopaminergic vices and this is forcing me to face my true demons. I have no choice but to improve from here, one day at a time.

Ep. 59 | My Reluctant Return to Chicago
Monday Jan 09, 2023
Monday Jan 09, 2023
I finally decided to visit Chicago after moving to Texas a year and a half ago. I was reluctant because there are not too many things I missed about that place. It has a very cold climate this time of the year, and the politics of the people who live there are very skewed from reality. But I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth I felt from the comedians there who remembered me. I was offered spots on many shows, and I delivered on most of them. My comedy is not for everyone, so it takes a lot of commitment to sell it. I hope to visit again in a couple of years.

Ep. 58 | Arguing with Homeless People
Saturday Dec 24, 2022
Saturday Dec 24, 2022
I can complain for hours about how I don't like talking to disrespectful mentally ill people who refuse to take their meds. This time I kept it to around an hour of that. I also complain about women, ala Kevin Samuels, and talk about how even while on mushrooms, I'm still an a-hole. They just make me lean into it even more.

Ep. 57 | Bombing Like a Pro
Friday Dec 16, 2022
Friday Dec 16, 2022
I don't just bomb when I bomb. I leave a smoldering crater where the stage used to be. The energy of the room will never be the same. If the audience doesn't like me, I make it so they remember me forever. People are nice though, and usually don't tell me how bad I did afterwards. They just politely pretend I'm invisible. Usually just means they aren't talented enough to understand my style. I'm the next Bill Hicks.

Ep. 56 | Give Life Hell
Friday Dec 09, 2022
Friday Dec 09, 2022
Life is hell, so you should return the favor by giving hell back to it. You only get so much time on this planet to do so. Might as well be memorable. I'm not saying you should do anything violent. That would make you a bad person and remembered in a bad way. Maybe you don't believe in good and evil. That's fine, but some of us here are medicated and don't want to be shot by some crazy dude. I mean to be hell in a positive, creative, high risk way.

Ep. 55 | I Don’t Know Who You Are
Friday Dec 02, 2022
Friday Dec 02, 2022
Don't be rude to other people in the same field as you, even if they are insufferable. It will only make you look bad. People won't forget you if you say something mean to them and suddenly gain some heat. That will make them resent you even more. Treat people how you would want to be treated.

Ep. 54 | Sleep Apnea is a B*tch
Saturday Nov 26, 2022
Saturday Nov 26, 2022
The past couple of days have been rough, but I'm tough. I'm a survivor. It will take a lot to bring me down. I visited my parents for Thanksgiving and it reminded me that I'm thankful for the few remaining family I have. This was a bit of an emotional episode, but it ends on a high note.
